What We Do

What We Do

Hand in hand with members, more than 2,000 volunteers each year, community partners, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation, The Esplanade Association (TEA) continues its work to address the critical needs of the park and to build a brighter future for this important urban greenspace. TEA’s work includes:

Projects to significantly improve the use, aesthetics, and safety of the park.

Park Care to restore and enhance the parks landscape-making it greener, healthier, and more beautiful for you.

Programs that enrich the enjoyment and health of visitors to the park, connect people from diverse backgrounds and communities, and promote park stewardship.

Advocacy for public policies and resource allocation that help protect and improve the park for the benefit of its diverse users.

The Esplanade is one of the most vibrant, beautiful, and versatile parks in urban America. Most important, it belongs to you. Our job at The Esplanade Association is to help you get the most out of it. Explore our activities, and find out how the park can add to your life.
