The Cultural Landscape Report for the Esplanade provides a historical overview of the park's changing landscape as well as existing conditions and analysis. A cultural landscape report is an important tool in planning for the restoration and upkeep of historic public landscapes. Preliminary research will identify significant landscape elements, uses, and periods of change in the park’s history. It will lead to the development of maps that show the evolution of the landscape over time.
