The Esplanade Association Council

Are you interested in becoming more involved in the life of the Esplanade? Would you like to meet other young professionals who feel the same way?

The Esplanade Association Council is a dynamic group of young professionals who enjoy the Esplanade and want to work together to build a brighter future for the park. The goals of TEA's Council are two-fold

• To bring young professionals together to network, celebrate, and take advantage of the recreational and cultural activities offered on the Esplanade.
• To utilize the energy, new ideas, and network of these young professionals to enhance park programming and help build a stewardship community for the Esplanade.

In the past, Council members have organized fundraising events like 2005's Sail Me to the River, a fabulous soiree held at Community Boating, and an Annual Clambake along the shores of the Charles River. Members are also involved in community service events such as the Annual Earth Day Cleanup. Proposed TEA Council activities for 2007 include:

• Athletic tournaments, including softball and volleyball games
• Group special access to cultural and educational events including concerts, movies, and history and nature walks
• Volunteer opportunities like fence painting, tree pruning, and working on special children's events like the Partners with Disabilities Model Sailboat Regatta
• And so much more!

If you are not already a member, please join us and make a donation to the restoration and enhancement of the Esplanade.
