Ugly Sweater Party

January 31st, 7-10pm / Foundation Room @ the House of Blues

The Esplanade Association’s young professionals group – the TEA Council – hosted an Ugly Sweater Party on January 31st, 7-10pm, to benefit the Charles River Esplanade. Attendees showed off their ugliest sweaters during a night out at the exclusive Foundation Room at the House of Blues (15 Lansdowne Street).

Over 100 people attended the first Ugly Sweater Party and enjoyed a night of dancing and socializing for a cause. With your help, we raised over $2,600, and the event gained significant press attention. Photos of the ugly sweaters and their owners can be found on Boston.com, where the party was a highlighted event, and others will soon be available on The Esplanade Association’s Facebook page and website.

The Ugly Sweater Party also provided us with the opportunity to work with new and existing partners, including House of Blues Foundation Room, Timberland, 28 Degrees, Patagonia, Onyx Spirits, Matt Baxter DJ Services, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Boston Common Magazine, and Silk Screen Printing.

Most importantly, the Ugly Sweater Party was great fun and generated additional interest in TEA Council and The Esplanade Association’s work to restore and enhance the park.

Thank you for your support, and we hope you will join us at the next TEA Council event!
