The Esplanade Association is pleased to welcome Kate Fichter as our new Executive Director. We are very excited to have Kate join us and know that she will help us to continue our mission to make life better on the Esplanade.
It may seem quiet on the Charles River Esplanade but The Esplanade Association has been busier than ever caring for the park and we wanted to highlight some of the important work that we are doing right now.
If you are a users of the Charles River Esplanade and other state parks we ask that you take the time to advocate for our partners at the DCR to ensure that they receive adequate funding and do not suffer further budget cuts.
This Valentines Day you don’t need to spend a fortune on roses that will die within days. Instead, why not surprise someone special by planting flowers on the Charles River Esplanade in their honor.
We knew Boston was a great city for walking and we are thrilled that Real Simple recently ranked the Charles River Esplanade as one of the best walks in the 10 most walkable U.S. cities.

The Esplanade Association is seeking volunteers with a basic knowledge of online fundraising software Donorperfect (or similar programs) to help out in our office located at 376 Boylston St.
On Friday, November 8th, The Esplanade Association, in partnership with Marathon Daffodils and with the help of over 90 volunteers from Massachusetts Service Alliance, planted 4,000 daffodils in the park.
