Details
Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm during the spring, summer, and fall are drop-in volunteer days on the Esplanade. Volunteers can just show up, no application needed. The last Drop-in Saturday for the Season will be on November 17, 2012. Drop-in Saturdays will resume on March 1, 2013.
For all Drop-in Saturdays, The Esplanade Association (TEA) asks volunteer participants to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, appropriate gear for the weather, and bring sun protection, water, and snacks. The park provides tools and protective equipment. More information can be found on our Day of Instructions page.
All participants must sign our volunteer waiver form. Please either fill out this form in advance or you may sign the waiver form when you arrive at project on-site. Guardians must sign the form for participants under the age of 18 in advance.
This event will take place every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please note holiday exceptions below. To participate, volunteers should meet TEA’s Horticulturist, Gerry Laferriere at 9:00 a.m. sharp, BEHIND the Dartmouth Street Comfort Station on the Esplanade. Volunteers will depart from Dartmouth Street shortly after 9:00 a.m. to head to the work site for the day so it is important to arrive on time. Visit our Volunteer Page to find out more about volunteering with TEA.
We hope to see you at the park. Thank you!
