The Esplanade Association is pleased to present this website for the enjoyment of the thousand of constituents who enjoy this historic urban park. We hope to inspire involvement in our many activities and in our efforts to restore and maintain this wonderful resource.
You will find opportunities to become involved in our efforts and to participate in programs for all ages. Although our organization is fairly young, we are very proud to have accomplished so much. A state of the art play area was our first major venture. Over the past few years we have completed a comprehensive tree inventory which will assist us in our stewardship efforts. We also have initiated a bench program to raise funds for the park’s ongoing restoration and maintenance.
Through our partnership with the Commonwealth and other charitable organizations, the docks are being rebuilt and athletic fields have been redesigned. There is much more to do, however, and we are enthusiastic about our future projects and our involvement with our membership in making this parkland a vital and enriching experience for everyone.
