TEA History

In the beginning.

The Esplanade Association (TEA) was founded in 2001. It was created because the Esplanade was falling into a state of disrepair and there was a public outcry for park improvements. TEA is dedicated to restoring and enhancing the Charles River Esplanade as a vital urban park to be enjoyed by all. TEA works in partnership with the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), the state agency that manages the park.
